There are three things worth noting about Gwinnett Place Mall. 1) Before there was Mall of Georgia, Gwinnett Place was the place to be. 2) a local legend: in the late 00's/early 10's, a dead body was found in the restrooms, having been left there for a couple days-a couple months depending on the telling of the story. 3) the mall had one last hurrah by playing the mall from stranger things. Shortly after that, talks began to have the place demolished.
